THE NEW WOMEN'S MINISTRY HOUSE AND CENTER
This is a rough drawing of the new Women's Ministry House to come in the later part of 2015
When the Women's Ministry House started in 2012 , it started with a hungry mother, her sister and her 3 year old daughter. I knew one day there would be a need for a larger house, to help more mothers and their children. What I didn't know then, was that after three years the ministry was going to change into a safe place to hide and care for abused mothers and their children. Currently we have space for up to two mothers and their children in the extra bedrooms of my house, (our current ministry home).
NOW is TIME to expand to be able to help many more. The new Women's Ministry House will provide housing space available for up to eight mothers and their children to live in. The house will also be available to help train other abandoned mothers in the surrounding areas who can come and learn skills that will teach them how to be self-sufficient. This will lessen their dependency on having strange men, who may abuse them and/or the children, come and live with them just to have food to eat.
The new Ministry House will also have living space for two self-funded missionaries to live on site, a cook, and a security person. In the back of the house (not on this drawing) there will be areas for the missionaries, along with myself and other Jesus Light and Hope Ministry staff will provide classes in discipleship, Bible, inner healing, nutritional food, baking, encouragement, along with teaching mothers how to play with their babies, learn how to give good, positive discipline. The children will also be given classes in Bible (on their level), discipleship for the older ones, sent to school (uniforms, shoes, backpacks and supplies provided), help with homework, encouragement, loved on, and learn how to socially adapt in positive ways with the other children, mothers, workers and missionaries around them.
Also in the back there will be areas for a large vegetable garden connected to a fish hydroponic pond, play areas for the children, a small soccer area, laundry areas with water pilas, some fruit trees and flowers along with a porch to enjoy the outside and double as a place to hang clothes in the rainy season.
Our hope is that this new Women's Ministry House will be a pleasant, safe refuge for the mothers and their children. They will be able to stay for two years or less depending on how long it takes for them to be ready to go back into society and live healthy self-sufficient Victorious Lives in Jesus.
